Hansgrohe The Water Studio in Amsterdam with shower and tap displays

Virtual tour of Hansgrohe The Water Studio

Client: Hansgrohe
Service: Virtual tour, interactive video and sound
Location: Amsterdam

A photograph can show a shower, but it cannot show how the water jet looks or sounds. In the virtual tour of The Water Studio, visitors can activate different showers themselves. They select a control, see the recorded water jet in the showroom and hear the corresponding sound.

A showroom you can do more than look at

At The Water Studio in Amsterdam, showers, taps and controls are displayed alongside one another. Visitors choose where to begin and which product group to inspect more closely.

The tour consists of eleven sections, including showerpipes, thermostats, hansgrohe and AXOR showers, Rainfinity and the architects’ room.

On entering, visitors immediately see how the shower and tap displays in The Water Studio are arranged.

Select a shower and turn it on

The distinctive feature of this tour is that the showers are not shown only as static products. Select a shower control or overhead shower and the water jet appears in the same position. At the same time, you hear the sound of the flowing water.

We filmed the working showers separately and recorded their sound. Those recordings were then positioned within the 360° environment. The showroom controls were made clickable, so each recording starts at the correct moment.

Selecting the shower control starts the recorded water jet and its corresponding sound.

A separate space for explanation and consultation

Alongside the product displays, the tour includes a separate architects’ room. Designs, materials and applications can be discussed here without distraction from the busy showroom.

Including this room in the same tour provides a complete view of The Water Studio: from the initial overview and working showers to the place where choices can be discussed in more detail.

The architects’ room provides a quiet setting for discussing designs, materials and applications.
