Virtual tour

Leeuwarden

For IKC Aventurijn in Leeuwarden, we created a virtual tour showing the building inside and out. Parents and other visitors can explore its distinctive architecture and teaching spaces at their own pace.

A clear view of a distinctive school building

The exterior combines a tall brick facade with a low, curved side wing. Regular photographs often show only one of these elements. In the tour, visitors can look around and see the building’s shape from different directions.

The interior layout matters too. The route includes the staircase, lift and two classrooms. A simple menu takes visitors straight to a chosen room, making the tour useful for anyone interested in a particular classroom or part of the building.

The curved side facade contrasts clearly with the main brick building.

Spaces at children’s eye level

The classrooms have low tables, play areas, cupboards and easily accessible materials. Large windows bring in daylight and provide views of the outdoor space. Looking around in 360 degrees makes it clear how many activities have a place within one classroom.

For parents, this provides more information than a short photo series. They see how open the classrooms are, where children play and work, and how the spaces connect.

Photography and a clear route

We photographed the building on location in Leeuwarden and connected the images into a compact tour. The exterior and interior spaces are accessible through one link on a computer, tablet or phone.

The tour can introduce the building before a visit or provide another opportunity to study the architecture afterwards. Visitors choose their own route rather than following a fixed video from beginning to end.

Why this approach works

  • Parents can see how the exterior and interior spaces relate to each other.
  • The classrooms show the space available for play, learning and storage.
  • The menu gives direct access to the staircase and classrooms.

See the building through the way it is used

The curved façade draws attention outside; low tables and play areas tell another part of the story inside. The tour brings the architecture and everyday learning environment together.
