How is a virtual tour made?

We only bring out the camera once we know what visitors need to see and understand. This order matters. Without a clear goal, a tour becomes a set of separate images instead of a story.
1. Define the goal of the tour
Who is the tour for: customers, new colleagues, students or international partners? What should they learn or remember? A virtual tour for recruitment needs different spaces and information than a tour about a production process.
2. Choose the main spaces and route
Not every room, corridor or storage area needs to be shown. We choose places that form a logical route, such as the entrance, offices, production area and dispatch at a company, or classrooms, practical spaces and shared areas at a school.
For several branches, we decide what every tour should include and what differs by location. This creates a consistent style while still showing each building. If one location changes later, the whole series does not need to be remade.
3. Prepare the location
We agree when spaces are available and what needs extra attention, such as staff in view or confidential information on screens. Arranging this in advance reduces corrections later. The full checklist is in how to prepare a location for 360-degree photography.
4. Take the 360-degree photos
We photograph every chosen space using 360-degree photography, so visitors can look around clearly and move naturally to the next place. This usually takes a few hours, or sometimes half a day or a full day, depending on the size of the location.

5. Build the tour
After the shoot, we build the route and navigation and add the agreed information, such as text, images, videos and links. Larger locations may also need an interactive floor plan, several languages or links between buildings.
6. The first draft and feedback
Good to know: You will receive the first draft within ten working days. A large tour or many extra features may take a little longer to complete. Rush delivery may be possible by agreement.
We process feedback until the tour is complete and ready for delivery. We discuss any new spaces or extra features added later separately.
7. Delivery and website placement
We supply everything needed to add the virtual tour to your website. Your web developer will usually handle this. If that is not possible, we can help with placement. You can host the tour yourself or ask Zien360 to host it.
Can the tour be changed later?
Yes. We can update text, images, videos and links whenever needed. If you want to update certain information regularly, we can build a solution you can manage yourself. After renovations, we check which spaces need new images. The rest of the tour can often stay as it is.
