Replace a brochure, edit a description or show a different video: you can do this yourself in the client portal. Changes to the building or layout may also call for new 360-degree photography. Here is how to keep both the information and images in your tour current.
Edit information in the client portal
A new vacancy, a different product description or an updated brochure? Zien360’s client portal lets you edit the information in your tour yourself. You can update text, ordinary photos, videos, links and other added information.
This lets you keep the explanations about your location current. After making a change, check how the information appears in the tour and whether a link or video opens as intended. The client portal does not let you add extra 360-degree photographs. Contact us if you want to extend the tour with new 360-degree photography.
Is the change in the photograph or the explanation?
A telephone number in an information point is different from a telephone number on the building. The first is separate information you can update. The second is part of the photograph of the space.
A new contact person, product description, brochure or link will therefore often only require editing the explanation. If what visitors see in the room changes, we review whether the existing 360-degree images still fit. Editing an ordinary photo in an information point is different from adding a new 360-degree image to the route.
A new layout: identify the images that are no longer accurate
Has one showroom display been rearranged? Tell us which display has changed and where it appears in the tour. We review which camera positions show the old layout. A 360-degree photograph also shows what is behind the viewer, so a moved item of furniture may be visible from several positions.
A new image needs to fit the route. We also check transitions to adjoining spaces and references in a menu or floor plan. Our showroom examples show how displays and explanations work together in a tour. A new collection may change one part while the rest remains useful.
Refurbishing or adding a new space
A refurbishment can change the layout: a door has moved, two rooms have been joined or a new wing has opened. Together, we identify which areas need new photography and which existing images still fit.
Wait until the space is arranged as you want it shown. Tell us if one area needs to appear before the rest of the work is finished. We agree what visitors will see in the meantime and who will check the updated version.
Decide who keeps the information current
Review more than the rooms. Open information points, contact buttons, videos and documents too. A brochure may still describe an old collection. A button may lead to a vacancy that has closed. Update this information in the client portal, then check the change in the tour.
Appoint someone in your organisation to maintain the content. Across several sites, a local contact can report what has changed while one colleague coordinates text, documents and languages. Update the translations too if your tour uses several languages.
Hosting, editing and usage statistics
For €120 per year, excluding VAT, you receive fast hosting, access to the client portal to edit information yourself, and usage statistics for your tours.
Creating the tour is separate from this annual package. New 360-degree photography, extending the route or work you ask us to carry out is discussed separately. Read more about interpreting the figures in our virtual tour statistics guide.
A new website does not automatically mean moving the tour itself. If it remains available, your web developer can assess how to include it on the new site. Read about placing a virtual tour on your website.
Moving or taking over an existing tour
If you want to update an older tour, a tour made by another supplier, or move one to Zien360, send the public link and explain how you want to use it. We assess the technology, available files and how the tour can be maintained. Moving an existing tour does not automatically give it the features of our client portal.
The files that run a tour online are not always the files used to create it. A link or folder of photographs alone does not establish that the controls can be changed. Ask the current supplier which files, rights and handover arrangements your agreement covers.
During a move, we check which images, navigation, documents and separately hosted videos are needed. Keep a record of where the tour is shared, such as your website, QR codes and presentations. If its address changes, those references need to keep working or be updated.
Agree on extra work and checks beforehand
Editing information yourself in the client portal is included in the hosting package. If you need new 360-degree images, a different route or an update carried out by Zien360, describe the changes. We discuss the work, cost and schedule beforehand.
After new photography or technical changes, check the spaces, text, documents and controls. Agree who in your organisation checks the content and approves the version that will go online. We check the parts we have changed.
Need help updating your tour?
Send the tour link and explain what you want to change. If you need new photography, identify the rooms or displays that have changed and when they will be ready to photograph. Information about current hosting and available files helps when taking over a tour.
Describe the changes in your request for a price estimate. We can then discuss what you can do yourself in the portal and where you need our help.
